DOCUMENT AND LOCATION AWARDED UWE RESEARCH GROUP FUNDING for 2022 programme
We are delighted to announce that Document and Location have been awarded research funding from the Faculty of Arts, Creative Industries and Education at the University of the West of England, Bristol for the fourth consecutive year.
The funding award of £4,000 will support the group’s ongoing publishing and public events programmes, as well as members academic publishing and contributions to national and international events.
Document and Location is a research group developed by academics from Fine Art, Photography and Architecture at The University of The West of England, Bristol, in partnership with Foreground. Conceived of and convened by Simon Morrissey, Senior Lecturer in Fine Art and Director of Foreground, the group’s research will inform a public programme of discursive events and publishing delivered in partnership with Foreground throughout 2022.
Document and Location provides a structure through which its members as both academics and practitioners can intervene critically in recent discourses around place and space that have been prevalent across Architecture, Fine Art, Geography, and Photography. Document and Location members include Lee Elkins, Sophie Hayes, Simon Morrissey, Sophie Warren and Jonathan Mosley, Huma Mulji, Mike Ricketts and Aaron Schuman.
