DOCUMENT AND LOCATION AWARDED UWE RESEARCH GROUP FUNDING FOR 2024 PROGRAMME

We are delighted to announce that Document and Location have been awarded research funding from the Faculty of Arts, Creative Industries and Education at the University of the West of England, Bristol for 2024, the research group’s sixth successful funding year.

The funding award of £4,500 will support the group’s ongoing publishing and public events programmes, as well as members’ academic publishing and contributions to national and international events.

2023 saw Document and Location continue to grow its membership through the welcoming of photographer, filmmaker and UWE Senior Lecturer in Photography, Jack Latham, and develop the ambition of its programme. In 2024 this will lead to Document and Location’s first public exhibition project in partnership with Foreground. Aftermath – two concurrent solo exhibitions of new work by Sophie Hayes and Huma Mulji – will be staged in Bristol in Spring 2024.
